Casting Crowns, Mandisa, Tenth Avenue North, Sanctus Real and David Crowder will be among the major Christian acts that will perform during WFRN’s Friend Fest June 29 and 30 at Amish Acres in Nappanee.

The two-day festival kicks off Indiana’s Christian music festival season, which hits high gear in August with three other major events in Huntington, South Bend and at Holiday World theme park.

In addition to live music from more than 20 recording artists over two days, Friend Fest offers a Kid Zone with bouncy houses and a children’s stage as well as breakout sessions for youth and worship leaders.

Major acts performing on Friday, June 29, include Stellar Kart, 6 pm; Sidewalks Prophets, 7 pm; Sanctus Real, 8:20 pm; and David Crowder at 9:50 pm.

On Saturday, Casting Crowns will close the event with a concert starting at 9:30 pm. They will be preceded by Mandisa at 6:30 pm and Tenth Avenue North at 8 pm.

Adult two-day passes are $29. Other pricing options are available online.

In Hoosierlujah’s earlier rush to let you know about the August festivals, we neglected to get the word out about Friend Fest’s very significant offerings in Nappanee. It is about 30 miles southeast of South Bend.
