Pastor Charles Jenkins, with Billboard’s reigning No. 1 gospel song, will be among the headliners for Praise in the Park on the Canal in Indianapolis.

The free concert and praise event, featuring 10 national gospel acts, will be from 6 am to 10 am Friday (July 20) at Buggs Temple, 11th and MLK streets. It is sponsored by radio station AM 1310, The Light.

Jenkins, whose song Awesome is currently dominating gospel radio, will be joined by:

J Moss, son of gospel singer Bill Moss Sr and a star in his own right. He currently has Billboard’s No. 13 gospel song, Good & Bad.

JJ Hairston leads the gospel choir Youthful Praise, and they have Billboard’s No. 7 gospel song, After This.

Zacardi Cortez has Billboard’s No. 11 gospel song, One More Time, featuring John P. Kee.

Preashea Hilliard, daughter of Bishop I.V. Hilliard and god daughter of CeCe Winans. Best known for her song Fresh Fire, which hit the gospel charts last year.

Angela Spivey, a Chicago native best known for her take on So You Would Know from the Gospel Announcer’s Guild of the Gospel Music Workshop of America project.

Anita Wilson, a powerful alto from Griffith, Ind. She currently has the No. 16 hit on Billboard’s gospel chart with Speechless.

Johnathon McReynolds. The Chicago native is promoting the single I Love You from his forthcoming album Life Music.

Demetrius West and Authority. Composed of praise and worship leaders from across Indianapolis, this group is promoting its new album I Am A Worhiper.

Tim Bowman Jr. is the nephew of Vickie Winans. His album Beautiful hit Billboard’s gospel charts in May.
