RiverCity Faithfest

Daffodils and other signs of spring are starting to pop up — and that means it’s almost Christian music festival season in Indiana.

Grammy-winning Switchfoot, one of the nation’s premier alternative rock bands, will headline two of the state’s major festivals this year. Here’s an early primer to help you decide which ones to attend this spring and summer.

 

WFRN FRIEND FEST

Where: Amish Acres, Nappanee.

When: June 21-22

Lineup: June 21 – Matthew West, Building 429, Big Daddy Weave, For King and Country, Rhett Walker Band,  Mosteller. June 22 – TobyMac, Peter Furler, Jamie Grace, Kari Jobe, Chris August, Finding Favour, Moriah Peters, Hyland.

Tickets:  Two-day general admission pass, $34, if purchased by April 30.

FANDANA

Where: Huntington University, Huntington

When: Aug. 2-3

Lineup: NEEDTOBREATHE, Love and Death, Matt Maher and more..

 

WORLD PULSE

Where: South Bend

When: Aug. 10

Lineup: Switchfoot, Audio Adrenaline, Natalie Grant, The City Harmonic, Jason Castro

Tickets: Tickets typically are free but most be secured in advance. A handling fee applies. Details to come.

ROCK THE WORLD

Where: Holiday World, Santa Claus, Ind.

When: Aug. 24

Lineup: Switchfoot, Kutless, Audio Adrenaline, Adam Cappa

Tickets: $50 for concert and amusement park entry, if purchased by May 1. 

statefairINDIANA STATE FAIR,  CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN MUSIC DAY

Where: Indiana State Fairgrounds, Indianapolis

When: Aug. 11

Lineup:  Matthew West, For King and Country, Jason Castro, Love and the Outcome, Carmen D’Arcy

Tickets: Concert is free with fair admission. General admission will be $10 for adults. Details to come regarding availability of $7 discount tickets.

 

LION & LAMB FESTIVAL

Where: Fort Wayne

When: Aug. 31-Sept. 1

Lineup: Speakers, artists, and songwriters will share how they are actively pursuing God and working for justice and hope in our world. Artists: Andrew Peterson, Carl Thomas Gladstone, Heatherlyn, John Tibbs, Amy Cox. Speakers: Rachel Held Evans, Bruce Reyes Chow, Cliff Kindy, Brother Abraham Newsom, Lorelei VerLee.

Tickets: $50 if purchased by May 15.

RIVERCITY FAITHFEST

Where: Evansville

When: Oct. 5

Lineup: Building 429, The Afters, Hawk Nelson and more

Tickets: Free
